This almost 400m2 mural was an initiative of Carat Foundation,
a community for Art and Culture in Helmond (the Netherlands).
For this mural I got inspired by the work of ‘Lucas Gassel’, a 16th century landscape painter from Helmond. Another inspiration were the fabric designs by Vlisco (manufactures distinctive wax print fabrics loved by African women) based in Helmond.
